Fiberglass Crane Bodies
The Astoria Fiberglass Crane Mount Body is designed to properly support up to and including 25,000 foot-pound cranes. The same type of structure is used to support 50,000 foot-pound cranes with the only difference being the size of the support members. The high load capacity of the Astoria crane support lies in the torsion cell configuration of the transverse structure which transfers the loads to the truck frame. This unique design maximizes the crane capacity while minimizing the crane tower deflection under load. This significantly reduces the loads entering the body, thus extending the life of the body.
